If you don’t have much to do on Saturday, Rogues Gallery will be having a sample sale at Uncle Pete’s on Charles Street.  If you aren’t familiar with RG, I’m not sure where you’ve been for the last couple of years, but their stuff is awesome.  It’s classic New England style with garments that look like they’ve spent a summer on the beach, swirling around in salt and sand.  Their founder and chief designer, Alex Carelton worked as a designer for LL Bean before he grew a beard and some courage, and moved into some kind of  beach house in Maine to launch Rogues.  It’s a folksy story, no doubt, but it’s still cool as hell.  He’s since moved onto NYC, while maintaining  a spot at 41 Wharf Street in Portland,  Maine.  While I haven’t been up to the store at 41 Wharf St., Uncle Pete’s is a five minute walk away.  I’ll be there.
